About Me

  • I’m a photographer and videographer, based out of New York, with more than a decade of experience creating visual content. I began my journey as a creator when I was in high school. On a whim, a friend asked me to cover a sporting event for the school paper. I kindly reminded her that I had never used a camera before, a fact that she bewilderingly seemed unconcerned about. One of the photos that I took won a local award for amateur sports photo of the year.

I went on to Nassau Community College, diving in to studio photography with an emphasis on portraiture and eventually stepping into commercial video production. As I began to feel comfortable with the technicals of the industry, I felt like something was missing. I needed to develop my own vision, and gain more experience turning a raw idea into a finished product.

I transferred to UNC-Chapel Hill where I studied photojournalism and documentary video. There, I became adept at finding narrative and relatability in vague concepts and raw footage. I’m a storyteller at heart and I began to understand how I can use audio and visuals to tell stories designed to engage an audience and convey ideas by finding the story within a project.

  • In my professional life, I’ve blended technical execution with narrative structure. Working under tight deadlines, I’ve filmed, produced and edited hundreds of videos ranging from short-form documentaries to campaign videos and social media ads that tell compelling stories about people, products and services. I’ve shot and retouched thousands of photographs designed not only for visual appeal but to convey feelings and ideas.

You’ll find a lot of watches in here. I’ve shot thousands over the last few years, as they’re the main business for my last employer. I started as a photographer — fresh of the depths of the pandemic — and eventually introduced video to the company. Sometimes it felt as though my role never stopped expanding. In a typical week, I built motion graphics for one brand, shot dozens of PDP videos for another, captured stylized product imagery for emails and ads, and was on location collaborating with stylists and directors while coordinating lighting and shooting both photo and video. Leading the video initiative, I worked with every creative on the team to make their vision come to life.

On weekends, I’m the de facto family photographer at every gathering, and when I’m not geeking out about gear, I take pictures of happy dogs. I’m happiest when I’m working with people, and jump at the opportunity to help craft visuals that bring their ideas to life.
